Statement:
This piece is about holding onto your light especially when darkness tries to creep up on you ! When all your dark thoughts come crawling in, don’t let it go out. Protect it with all your heart ! I’ve wanted to paint a concept like this for a while; like me holding a rounded source of light and staring into it in a dark room or area. Sometimes it feels like a battle to still choose to be good and kind at the end of the day and speak life and spread positivity through it all. Its so easy to just say “fuck you you fucking cunt” 😂😂 Which believe me, these emotions still pass me at times but in my opinion through my experience choosing light and choosing to be kind has always just been better for my own well being. It’s like a survival mechanism for my mental health 😂
